I have had a hard time getting my 12 year old son to read, but he LOVES the Treasure Hunter series. I just wish there were more books from this series! This book is an action packed spy thriller with a family that finds themselves involved in all types of adventures wherever their travels take them. In this book, Russia where they try to recover stolen daVinci and Rembrandt paintings.

I was surprised to find that this was the same James Patterson that wrote the adult books that I have read Kiss the Girls and Along Came a Spider and at first was hesitant to let my son read these. But these books are completely age appropriate and fun at the same time.

He is anxiously awaiting another book!!

I have truly loved this series for my boys. We have spent nights talking about the adventures and wondering what it would be like to be a treasure hunter. Every time there is a picture we all need to see the extra detail that you can capture from the picture. The books are filled with imagination, spy gadgets, a little history, good characters gone bad, suspense and good creative fun. We hope there is more to come.

I really liked the book, so don't go and read the reviews and think it's going to be awful. Personally, I liked the book but I can see why some people would complain about the global warming thing. It wasn't quite as good as the first two and the third was ok, but I thought the ending was a little weak, and the Larissa character was kinda unnecessary. Overall it was a good book and I would recommend it to ages 10-12 just because of the political aspect.
