- Reviewed in the United States on August 21, 2021What a wonderful book for early readers! My 7 year old really enjoyed reading this story. I would say it is about a second grade level. It is perfect for his reading level and it has full color pictures on each page! Even my 5 year old enjoyed following along. Also, it teaches about this time in history as it is based on a true time in history. A wonderful addition to any child’s library collection. :)

- Reviewed in the United States on March 28, 2014Sharing About my home country is the reason I bought this book. The Netherlands is known for tulips, so I read this to kindergarten and first graders using the tulips as part of the story and having color sheets for them after wards. Very enjoyable.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 3, 2021Great moral story!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 7, 2014I am a visual art teacher and bought this book to go with a lesson on Holland. My preschoolers were thoroughly delighted and learned about some very famous Dutch things...Tulips, Windmills and wooden shoes. :D
- Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2015I give this book 5 stars for the story, which my 5 year old absolutely loves and 3 stars for the fact that there are about 10 extra duplicate pages in the middle of the book. Very odd quality control there. I'll just average that out to a 4. A 5 star book though if you end up getting one without any printing errors.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 28, 2012I had bought my granddaughter a Holland Barbie doll and was pleased to be able to send her a book about Holland also :-)
