- Reviewed in the United States on June 23, 2013The kids just love these books and can't wait to read more! I am a teacher and have used these with students between second to sixth grade; however, the concepts can be a little confusing for an average second grader. The Holms siblings really capture the imagination and concerns of a young child and portray the stories in a cleaver and humorous way. I highly recommend any Babymouse book as they definitely are a worthwhile purchase!

- Reviewed in the United States on December 15, 2013I’ve been buying Babymouse books for a young pre-teen with a slight reading disability and the books have gotten her to really take an interest in reading. That alone is enough to make them worth five stars.
This particular book has Babymouse taking up ice skating and having to learn to sacrifice some of her favorite things to succeed – there are a tough skating teacher, a ban on cupcakes, the loss of her friends, and plenty of grueling work. Does she have the drive and concentration to succeed and is it worth it? Babymouse isn’t perfect and learns some lessons that are important for her and her readers and the book isn’t preachy about it.
Another good book in a delightful series.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 10, 2012These are great graphic novels for young girls. My daughter (age 8) reads them over and over. My son (12) and husband have even been caught sneaking a peek at the breakfast table. My daughter gave this as a birthday present and the birthday girl was thrilled!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 27, 2014Babymouse: Skater Girl is a funny book filled with imagination. My favorite part is when she remembers that for a spelling bee, Babymouse only spelled the word "the" correctly. I recommend this book for readers for all ages. You will love this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 25, 2013Good for both 8-yr old and 6-yr old. Funny but not scary, as clearly humorous. Keeps kids busy reading and off television. Given the pink covers, probably good for boys, who would probably be ok with the Squish series.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 6, 2019My daughter likes this series and I’ll do whatever to keep her reading.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 27, 2017My daughter loves Baby Mouse, but she reads these in less than an hour so I generally prefer to check them out from the library or buy used ones.
