- Reviewed in the United States on September 23, 2009I bought this book for my son, who is a fairly new reader. It is the cutest story, written from the perspective of the new puppy in the family, and my son loves to read this book. Not only is the story good for teaching a few new words, but my son also learned about different characters and how some books let you see the story through the eyes of someone unexpected, here it was the new dog. This book is a favorite time and time again, so I highly recommend it!

- Reviewed in the United States on November 15, 2014Such a sweet, sweet book written from a dogs point of view. This would be perfect to get for a child just getting his-her first dog. Starts out with the dog at the pet store tring to find his right child... ones pull his tail, or is hyper etc but the one that comes and pats him on his head and is nice to him he decides to 'keep'. The dog continues to 'teach' the boy different things like eat, play, clean up etc. All the special things that dogs help children do. Then dog looses his boy, he is scared and panic trying to find him. They are reunited at the end and he says to never loose each other again
- Reviewed in the United States on June 24, 2019This was the first book I read when I learned to read 30 years ago! My copy was falling apart so I appreciated the brand new, crisp book I received!

5.0 out of 5 stars 字が大きく、読みやすい!
英語には、公立の学校の授業でしか触れていない小学校高学年の子供達と一緒に読みました。字も大きく、子供たちにとっても、ストレスなく楽しめたようです。

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely story ,fun , great for starting to read
My son and daughter love this book (she is 3, he is 6 with special needs). The story from the outset is engaging, funny and caring. Written from the perspective of the dog it's a lovely twist to a happy story. My son's current reading age is 4 yrs 11 mths, he comfortably reads it all. They both continue to enjoy this story even though we have read it many, many times, which is the sign of a good children's book.
