An honest exploration of the impacts of experiencing bullying and how to cope with it.

This is a kid's book about bullying. It explores the impacts of bullying and helps kids to identify when bullying is taking place, as well as encouraging empathy and offering a path forward for children who have felt its effects.

This book helps kids aged 5-9 understand what bullying is. Sometimes, kids can be mean. Really mean. While sticks and stones might break some bones, words will always hurt more. Here, the topic of bullying is sensitively introduced, so conversations with children can be started and awareness raised about it.

Amazing. Truly.
Simple and real. I can't recommend this book enough. We had a bullying situation and this book was such a gift. It's one thing to hear from your parents about these things, but it's another to be able to see it from the eyes of a "peer." The way this book is written does just that. I recommend, with all my heart, giving it to literally every kid ever. Maybe that sounds cheesy, but I really mean it.

I admit I'm a superfan of the entire AKBA series. When I signed onto the series to write my book, A Kids Book About Diwali, I studied the entire series including this book. My favorite thing about the series is how it offers a candid and unfiltered introduction to all sorts of important topics for kids without avoiding real or difficult conversations.

The best thing about A Kids Book About Bullying is how it doesn't shy away from the hardship of bullying, validating children's emotions and struggles. For any parent, teacher, aunt or uncle looking to pick up a great book that will offer an authentic introduction to the topic of bullying, this book is a great start. Highly recommended!"
