- Reviewed in the United States on June 11, 2015This was a purchase for a classroom donation. The book was colorful and fit to the common core reading program in my child's class. It was chosen by a third grade teacher and my daughter thought it was popular with the class. Quality paperback, I didn't read the story myself as I sent it to the class for their library.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 26, 2018I got these to use for teaching expository writing to third graders. It’s a great example, and I can’t wait to use it!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 4, 2017Great nonfiction book; I used in my classroom as an anchor text to teach informative writing.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 13, 2016I gave this book to our son, and he read it to his daughters. They also loved the book!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 11, 2016Sent it to my son for father's day to read to his children ages 18 months and 4 yrs old.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 25, 2010I got this for my husband for his first father's day. The artwork is cute and the book discusses how different animal dads help to raise their young. This will be a great book for him to read to our son.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 16, 2014This book was marketed as one in hardcover. I received a paper back instead. I could have gotten the paperback version cheaper elsewhere.
The book is great for my soon-to-be four-year-old. It's a little bit long, but she loved it and remained interested from start to finish. She gave it as a Father's Day gift to her daddy.

Beautifully illustrated children's book focusing on species in which fathers are nurturers. For ages 1 up to 7, I'd say, as it includes interesting facts about childrearing among different species which older children might enjoy.
