Editorial Reviews
Review
"Catechesis begins very early in life. The hearts and minds of our kids are being shaped by the media, models, and voices around them--for better or worse. Christian parents should try to surround their kids with resources for healthy spiritual formation. That's why I love the Baby Believer(R) series from Catechesis Books. It's never too early to teach theology to little ones!"
--Brett McCracken, senior editor at The Gospel Coalition, author of The Wisdom Pyramid: Feeding Your Soul in a Post-Truth World
"I'm a huge (full-grown) believer in the Baby Believer series. We know the Word of God does not return void. These books provide a wise, winsome, and creative way to begin sowing the seeds of biblical truth into the hearts and souls of our children. When the core concepts of the Christian proclamation are sown into us from an early age, those seeds will bear their fruit in the right season."
--Timothy Dalrymple, president and CEO of Christianity Today
"The Baby Believer series offers big theological truths to little hearts in a beautiful and simple way. They make great gifts for new moms!"
--Emily Jensen and Laura Wifler, cofounders of Risen Motherhood

Who should read/buy this book: Parents, parents-to-be, grandparents, kids, babies, church libraries, Sunday school classes—anyone who knows and loves a child, wants to communicate timeless messages of God’s truth about the body and Christ’s power to heal.
How should you read it: Loudly, quietly, ACTIVELY! Because of how the book is laid out and designed, it’s interactive and instructive, both on a practical, functional level and on a spiritual level. My toddler loves pointing out his hands, back, eyes, legs, eyes (ouch--ha!), and ears and pointing out the body parts on the page.
What is fantastic about this book: The beautifully illustrated pages spark interest and capture the imagination of even my most rambunctious boy. The text is largely Scripture, and so it’s powerful, concise, and can spark conversations and reminders about the stories of healing in the Gospels.
Where does Jesus Heals take you: On each spread, a different miracle is recounted, and we can be encouraged from the text of the Bible of God’s power over physical infirmities. But ultimately, the book concludes that the physical healings were not Jesus’s main goal but to glorify God and heal our spiritual sickness through His death, burial, and resurrection. Teaching our little ones that God loves and cares for their bodies and their hearts is a central theme in Jesus Heals and one that this mom needs to hear too.
“Christ carried our sins in his body on the cross. He did this so that we would stop living for sin and start living for what is right. And we are healed because of his wounds.” 1 Peter 2:24 ICB

I strongly believe that a child’s spiritual foundation begins on day one. This book, along with the other Baby Believer books, are a great way for parents to teach kids about Jesus. This book is a must have for your child’s library.
