Cute book. Easy reading for children who are learning to read. Cute little adventure of the turtle, and introduces children to other sea life. Perfectly priced!

Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
This is a cute little story in rhyme with the added appeal of animation on most of the pages. The "Full-color AniMotion" reminds me of a toy TV I had as a child with vertical lines across the screen and a sheet of images that passed them when the toy was wound up. As the images passed the vertical lines, they animated. I don't know if this is the same sort of animation, but it is very similar. The images animate as the page is turned.

The pages are more like two layers of heavy cardstock than a typical solid board book, but it does seem to be very durable. My four-year-old tends to destroy just about everything, but this book is holding up well to his abuse. He adores flipping the pages back and forth to see the animation. I expect he will eventually attempt to dismantle the pages to see how the animation works.

Some of the animations include swimming turtles, flying gulls, jumping dolphins, a shark's mouth opening and closing, and a fishing boat on the waves. There are 11 animations in all. The story is a darling and age-appropriate tale of a baby turtle trying to find his family after hatching later than his siblings. There is also a list of simple turtle facts in the back of the book that will give young kiddos a step toward learning more.

This is such an adorable, creative book. I have even had to order extras for my friends for their family members. Even it you are older, if you love sea turtles, you will love "Baby Turtle's Tale".

My Grandson loves to move the pages so he can see the movement in the pictures. Great story too.

Upon viewing my book when it arrived, I noticed that there was writing on the inside of the cover that said "Happy Birthday Lane, Papaw Ken and Mamaw Betty", and the backbone was busted. This book is not worth $10 and now I'm considering returning, however, I needed it for a lesson with my kindergarten students.
