- Reviewed in the United States on December 15, 2016Got this book when my son was 4. He loves reading this book still at 6. I'm glad I added this to his library. I've learned so much too (the mama).
- Reviewed in the United States on June 5, 2015Utterly charming.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 5, 2005I was aghast to read the reviews Amazon quotes on this book! It is fantastic! My children have loved it for years. It is so good that my 9-year-old will still sit and listen to it. I also take it to school on Read Across America Day and classes aged kindergarten through third have been entranced by it. It is a very good addition to every family library!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 5, 2001I received a copy of this book today. I loved the rhymes and the pictures. When the author speaks of the platypus, tears came to my eyes. I plan to purchase additional copies of this book for nieces and nephews as their birthdays arise. The story is so very wonderful, for both children and adults.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 24, 2000This is such a cute book! I teach 6th grade, and learning the animal kingdoms sometimes gets a little boring for some students. I have set up a trivia center where this book has become a focal point. I randomly ask the students to determine the name of the next baby animal. Not only are they interested, but they are enhancing their research skills as well. This is a great book for all ages to learn about animals.
