Unicorn is back... and he's still grumpy!

Unicorn, Narwhal, Mermaid, and Jellyfish are ready for an adventure, and, as Unicorn quite rightly points out, nothing is more adventurous than travelling into SPACE.

But when the four friends disagree over which planet to visit first, Unicorn most definitely turns into a very grumpy Grumpycorn and decides to go off on his own.

Will Unicorn see the error of his ways?

Will he realize that friendship is what makes everything fun?

Will he finally stop being such a Grumpycorn?

There's only one way to find out...

The follow-up to Sarah McIntyre's bestselling Grumpycorn is an imaginative romp celebrating friendship!

Illustrator and writer Sarah McIntyre is easy to spot in her pointy glasses and hats. She's excited to launch the Adventuremice series of highly illustrated books for young readers with her co-author Philip Reeve. Together they've created award-winning books such as 'Oliver and the Seawigs' and 'Pugs of the Frozen North', and their more recent series about Kevin the Roly-Poly Flying Pony. Reeve & McIntyre think up stories together, then Reeve writes them (with help from Sarah) and Sarah illustrates them (with help from Philip). Sarah has also written and illustrated her own books, including the highly popular Grumpycorn picture books. Visit her website for lots of free book-related activities and inspiration for making your own drawings.

Unicorn goes on an adventure into outer space and takes his friends - Mermaid, Jelly Fish and Narwhal - with him. They find some amazing life on other planets and one of the planets is so fabulous that Unicorn is tempted to stay until he decides that the only place he wants to live is where he and his friends can all live together happily.

Brightly coloured images, cool story.

We like it so much Grumpycorn that we bought Don't call me Grumpycorn and buying a second time to give as a present. It's beautifully written the drawings are a delight to any child starting to read independently. Sarah McIntyre has also draw along tutorials online that the kids will also enjoy. And don't forget to read together, I highly recommend it!
