Purchase options and add-ons
Dinosaur is getting ready for Santa! He tackles many challenges--decorating, making presents for Mom and Dad, trying not to be naughty--and defeats each one with his trademark ROAR! But on Christmas Eve, when he hears some rustling downstairs, he can't resist a peek. Will our feisty red friend meet his match in the man in the red suit? Complete with sparkly silver foil on the front cover and a removable letter to Santa for little ones to personalize, this funny and sweet book is a must-have for the holiday season.

You know that PBS Kids spot where the pig runs around and eats things that begin with the letter "p"? Bob made that! He made a bunch of other animations for PBS Kids and helped them develop a national literacy campaign.
He has met Al Roker and Fonzie.
His stories, artwork and characters have also appeared on Nick Jr. and Noggin. He was even on Noggin, reading one of his books to Ryan, his little boy.
Bob likes to speak in the third person.
Bob has written several children's books, including New Socks, Big Plans, which was illustrated by Lane Smith, Dinosaur vs. Bedtime, Race You To Bed, and Oh Daddy.
Dinosaur vs. Bedtime was one of Amazon's Top 10 Picture Books of the year, and a Horn Book Magazine best of 2008.
He lives in Connecticut with his wife Colleen and his son, Ryan. He and Colleen own Perfectly Nice, a graphic design studio.
Bob enjoys cake.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 9, 2013My sister in law gave my daughter Dinosaur Vs Bedtime for Christmas in 2011 and she fell in love. She loves all the Dinosaur Vs Books and this one is no different. Bright fun pictures and a delightful story make this story fun for me to watch her read or read to her. Would highly recommend this and all the other Dinosaur Vs books.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 23, 2012My son loves this series, and when I saw this I knew he had to have it! The story is adorable, as usual. Dinosaur is so much like my four-year-old at Christmastime. It's fun to hear him talk about the things he and Dinosaur do to get ready for Christmas.
Bonus! I didn't know it came with a paper for a letter to Santa! So this would make an awesome gift in preparation for Christmas. My son's birthday is on 12/16, so I just gave it to him then.
Highly recommended to parents of little dinosaurs.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 2, 2013This book, like all of the Dinosaur Vs. books, is totally awesome! I love Bob Shea as a writer. He's got enough humor in his books that the kids get the giggles, but the stories don't get old for the adults. Another excellent, if seasonal, buy.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 22, 2013This story is not my thing but the grandkids crack up, and love to Roar with the Dinosaur. It's a winner at my house
- Reviewed in the United States on November 13, 2015My son loves this book! He was so excited when it came in the mail. He has autism and wasn't very interested in reading until we found the Dinosaur vs. books. He is so happy and excited to read them and he is now starting to read other books as well, when before he had little interest and would get upset about it. Dinosaur vs. Santa was the newest addition to his book collection and he hasn't put it down since it got here yesterday! (Except to go to school). This book is great and I definitely recommend it.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 30, 2015I got these books for both my grandchildren, girl and boy, and they love them. You have to be prepared to ROAR like a dinosaur :) I got the cardboard because they are toddlers and not ready for paper pages...wish more of the series came in cardboard, I would have them all.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 22, 2016I was hoping to love this more, but I don't. My kid didn't pick it out a lot over December, but we did read it 2 or 3 times. This is our only dinosaur vs. book, and the concept intrigued me, but I didn't find it to be as cute as it looks.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 9, 2017Great Christmas story - it is what is on every child's mind. This will be a book to bring out every Christmas until my grandson is uninterested in it, which may be never!
