- Reviewed in the United States on April 3, 2014I loved this book so much. It could not have been more traffic. I think that Jake Maddox is an awesome writer. You should so read his books.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 10, 2024I was expecting a slightly bigger chapter book with more pages. This one is geared to perhaps 7-9 yrs olds.
Still, it's not easy to find a little gift for lovers of figure skating, and I was glad to find this.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 6, 2014this is a great book because I love to iceskate and its just a really good book. I reacamend to read this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 15, 2018Great story for an 8 year old skater
- Reviewed in the United States on September 26, 2019I am always looking for good stories about figure skating. Even though I am an adult, I enjoy books intended for middle school readers, but this book was a big, fat miss. Girls who figure skate will know that neither training nor competition works the way Jake Maddox (or whoever the actual author was) depicts it. Girls who want to know what figure skating is really like will feel as though they have been cheated. And they will be right! No character development. No authenticity in the setting. Next to no description. The author cheated just like a skater who cheats the take-off edge, turning a Lutz into a "flutz." A waste of $4.58.
