Eco-friendly isn’t a seller for me, but a cute book!

- Reviewed in the United States on November 15, 2020"Where are you Polar Bear? is a fun book with hard cardboard colorful pages with drawings that kids will enjoy looking at. Besides being a delight, the book teaches about the icy artic, polar bears, seals, artic hares, walruses, and more. The book is fully recyclable.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 22, 2020I thought the eco friendly factor of this makes it a very cool and unique book. The physical aspect of this book is different from other books we own and I would love to see more books doing the same. We’ve read this book to baby at night and although he is too small to understand but we enjoy reading it to him. The story might be too simple and dull for an older child but this made a great bedtime story for our baby.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 15, 2020This is a cute book. It's thick and good quality and I really like the artwork. The story is very simple and the "touch and feel" aspect is the same thing on each page - the material is a corrugated cardboard and there is also a cut out on each page that shows through to the next page. I'll be honest, it's probably not going to be a favorite and read consistently over the years, but it is really fun to read with a baby because if you slide your hands over the "touch and feel" parts the corrugated-ness (sorry for the lack of a better word) makes a fun sound. My nine month old enjoys it. My three year old read it once and hasn't asked to read it again since. Like I said, it's probably not a staple that will stay on the shelf forever, but definitely cute and entertaining for little ones.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 28, 2020Very cute board book that will make a nice Christmas gift. Nice artwork and I like the textured parts that are fun for kids to touch. The story is also fun to read. My 5yr old still loves cute and short board books before bed so this is perfect for her.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 1, 2020I really like what they are trying to do with this series of eco friendly books. Every element is cardboard (not plastic) and recyclable. I have no quarrel with any of that.
The is a type of board book in the same vein as Usborne touchy feely books (i.e. "That's Not My Snowman") or another one my son has "Hoppity Frog" where the kids search for hoppity frog on every page and find him at the end. In this book we are looking for Polar Bear and find a lot of arctic animals before we get to him. I like that this gives the little ones an introduction to animals that live in that climate and the artwork is cute.
The touch and feel aspects are all the same corrugated cardboard. There isn't any variety and I feel like even with cardboard they could have been a bit more innovative. I'm not sure how "touch and feel" it can claim to be when even page has the same tactile element.
Overall I like the eco aspect and the aesthetics but felt like the concept & tactile elements lacked imagination.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 20, 2020This book is adorable Aesthetically, I love the way it looks, its colorful enough to catch my toddler's attention without being an eyesore.
It feels sturdy but natural, I didn't miss the plastics so often included in touch and feel books and neither did my son or 8 month old. The slippery "ice" feel was an especially nice touch that we haven't felt before.
The story is cute and easy to follow along. My son gets a kick out of narwhals so that was an added bonus. I look forward to adding more of this series to his collection of books.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 21, 2020This is a cute board book. My child enjoyed the cutouts that had the corrugated cardboard to feel. There are also just some cutouts that let you see some of the next page.
This book is very plain and simple w/it's colors, but it works well because it's about artic animals throughout until it you finally find the Polar Bear.
There isn't much to this book, but sometimes simplicity works.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely book
Lovely book, I haven’t read it to my child yet as it’s a Christmas present, but I think she will love it. It has cut out sections and also corrugated card sections. The only thing I will say is that I misunderstood and thought it would have different “touch and feel” textures, but it is just the corrugated card and holes. I don’t think this takes anything away from the book, I’m just giving other people a heads up.
