I ordered this book for my young grandchildren for Christmas. I’m thrilled with it and can’t wait to share it with them. (I will write a new review when I can include their reactions). The book is adorable. Each page has interesting pictures which can stimulate a discussion as well as reinforcing counting—forwards and backwards for the little ones. The rhymes are fun and I think will appeal to the 4-6 years old age group while the counting will appeal to the younger children. Also I think newer readers will enjoy reading the simple clearly printed text and rhymes.

This is such a cute book I wanted it to share with my grandkidlettes and I just love it ! It’s a great counting book but what I really like is after it counts forward the author takes it another step and subtracts. It’s such a fun way for young children to be introduced to math concepts. I liked it so much I bought a book for each of my children.

It is a fun counting rhyme, with a countdown at the end. The alligators are adorable and the kids found it very entertaining.
