I think books make great gifts, and this one is superb! Call me cautious, but as an aunt and grandmother, I prefer to actually read the contents first of all the books I consider gifting to children. Well, I am pleased to report that this book receives my wholehearted stamp of approval! It is wholesome, engaging, entertaining, and best of all educational! The young reader will discover wonderful new things about art, culture, literature, and travel without even realizing they are learning as the story of Julieta's adventure unfolds before them. Written in a delightfully down to earth style, the reader can not help but to instantly like the lead character. Julieta not only has a charming personality, but is relatable; plain and simple. The plot would have held my interest had I read this myself back when I was a pre-teen. I expect it to do the same for the children in my life. I hope the author, Luisana Duarte Armendariz, writes more books! She has talent.

A must read for middle grade kids. It's got it all....a very lovable protagonist, a loving and supportive family, a mystery, a trip to Paris and a visit to the Louvre....and a new baby!!!

Wow!! Get this audiobook!!! The narrators are FANTASTIC!!! My kids and I were hooked! The way they narrate made the story so entertaining. You could feel how enthusiastic, energetic, and fun Julieta is!! This is laugh out loud funny and entertaining! We were all completely hooked and couldn't stop listening! We had to know what was going to happen next!

I love the fun mix of Spanish and French words included! It was fun for the kids (who are in a Spanish dual-immersion school) to pick up on them. I love the traveling and art! And the fabulous family dynamic!! This is such a fabulous story!!

I will definitely be picking up physical copies for me and my kids!! I highly recommend this middle grade read!!

Art heist meets Greek Mythology? Say no more! This is a heartwarming young middle grade novel about a lovably excitable nine year old. The writing style reminded me of the internal narration I used to do, imagining I was the main character of some book, and immediately opened my heart to Julieta. The entire time I was thinking how obsessed my best friend and I would have been with this book if we had read it in fourth grade during our Greek Mythology phase. It made me miss being able to go to art museums and transported me to ones I have yet to visit, especially with the amazing backmatter detailing the art referenced in the book. I also might have shed a tear during one very sweet lovely moment. Unrelated to content, physically this is a perfect book. It has an amazing hand feel, trim size, margins, everything you need for a perfect reading experience. Overall, I am obsessed with this book.

I loved the father daughter duo, the relentless faith and determination, and the beautiful blend of diversity and history this story highlights in Julieta’s adventure! It’s definitely a book every kid (and parent) should have on their reading list.
