- Reviewed in the United States on October 23, 2024As a long-time fan of American Girl, I was not thrilled when they first came out with journals instead of their books with the dolls. After getting a few in our home though, we were happily surprised that that format had strong appeal to my less strong reader as well. My other kids continue to ask for the more complete book stories but my less skilled reader is really drawn to these.
I will say this journal reads closer to the format of the other books than most but my kids have enjoyed the story.
