About the author

ELISABETH ZUNIGA grew up in a magical world of tea parties and fairy tales, where sketchbooks and stubby pencils were always at hand. Her mum taught her to see and draw the whimsy in the world. Later, Elisabeth graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance, and then from Chapman University School of Law. After years of filling textbooks with sketches of woodland animals and landscapes, she finally decided it was time to turn to illustrating. She created Loxly Hollow, an online nursery decor shop with original artwork that is now sold internationally. A Friend for Bo is her first picture book and she is represented by Teresa Kietlinski of Prospect Agency.
Elisabeth currently resides in Salt Lake City, UT, working by day as an attorney and by all other times as an illustrator and writer of whimsy!

- Reviewed in the United States on April 24, 2023We borrowed this from the library and had to own it. It is a sweet story about friendship and surprising turns of event. It portrays frustration and the joy of being together. Very fun for our little ones 2.75 and 1.5
- Reviewed in the United States on March 31, 2021Such a great kid's book! While it has an Easter "theme", its not religious and isn't tied specifically to a holiday (besides the egg and bunny).
- Reviewed in the United States on April 4, 2020When I first read this book I was in the LOVE with the illustrations. Then when I got to the last page I laughed out loud. So clever. It’s my daughter Elisabeth’s favorite book. And I love that because the author/illustrator is named Elisabeth too! I wish she would make more books.
